In the past few years I have been involved with after school clubs such as eco or environment and gardening clubs, giving hands on experience of the outside environments, involving building of habitats for mammals, aquatic life, amphibians as well as general gardening and learning about how both the flora and fauna can help the environment and what we can do to help to improve these to encourage more life and be eco friendly.

We cover the aquatic life that lives in different environments from a small stream to a large pond and we cover the many aspects of aquatic life such as how the P.H. of the water to the different silts can effect different life within these environments.

Part of the hands on experience is to get the pupils pond dipping and then to anylise the species within a 1 metre squarethis area from full aquatic, marginal to meadow. How man and pollution can effect aquatic life.
